Children and Young Performers
From the Manager
A very warm welcome to our SPAA Children and Young Performers.
We do our best to create a fun and caring environment where each and every one of our students is valued and encouraged to be creative. We are thrilled to have opened our doors as of September 2019 in a brand new, purpose built building (12 studios and two theatres) for students to enhance their social and life skills through performing arts. We will be focusing on Vocational Training and an opportunity for children and young performers to be creative and expressive in a safe environment. At SPAA, we promise to give our students creativity to embrace life and make the most of their talents and opportunities. Children and young performers will learn how to sing, act and dance, while developing a broad range of life skills. Our students become more self-assured, expressive, sociable and imaginative, while also learning how to respond to everyday situations with resilience, creativity and bravery. Most importantly it is all done through a lot of fun, play and physical challenges.

Classes & Training
The performing arts embraces a diverse range of performance environments and an endless number of styles and ideas. Freeing the imagination is at the heart of all we do. Our short courses teachers are from our full-time Academy or are teachers who have been actively involved in, or are currently involved in, professional performance. Our classes focus on vocational development with good training. We aim to build confidence and communication skills within a friendly and informal atmosphere.
Students are grouped in ages:
Each term is based on training and includes:
Skills Training: Focusing on excellence in singing, drama and dance training for students aged 4 through to adults. Classes will be focused on their technique.
Training: Focusing on excellence in singing, drama and dance training.
Themed Classes and demonstration for the parents: January term follows a central theme for each age group across all three disciplines (singing, drama and dance). Using the central theme, each class will dedicate a period of time in preparation for a class presentation on Parents Open Day.
Some students will be taking exams in ISTD/LAMDA/TRINITY
